Mental Health First Aid

Friday, October 2nd, 2020 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm (CT)

Wellness Services has an exciting opportunity for you to earn TA hours by attending a Virtual Mental Health First Aid class next month!

About the class:

Mental Health First Aid is a public education course that anyone can take to learn how to help someone who is developing a mental health issue or experiencing a mental health crisis. You can learn more about the class by going to or click on this short You Tube video. If you complete the course, your certification is good for three years and can be put on a resume!

Commitments needed from you to get your hours:

Part 1 of the course is a 2 hour on demand webinar that must be completed prior to a 5 hour online live class (a 7 hour total commitment). If you do not complete the 2 hour portion, you will not able to participant in the live class session.

The enrollment deadline for this course is Friday, September 18, 2020.

Sign up is limited to the first 20 students and a minimum of 5 is needed to have the class. If the class fills, we will have other opportunities this year.

You will receive access to the two-hour on demand portion via email.

Two hour on demand portion needs to be completed by October 1, 2020.

The online live session will take place October 2nd from 12pm-5pm. You must be present for the entire online live course to become a certified Mental Health First Aider and to get your full 7 hours of TBL time.
